The famous Mont Gabriel Hotel, a 4-star hotel located atop a mountain in Sainte-Adèle, in the Laurentians, offering 136 units across three sections. Following extensive renovations exceeding $25M, our hotel is now part of the Marriott family under the Tribute Portfolio banner and is managed by the Tidan Hospitality Group, headquartered in Montreal.
Hôtel Mont Gabriel boasts a wellness center, a restaurant, a bar, an 18-hole golf course, a stunning outdoor spa, and much more! On-site activities are plentiful, including indoor and outdoor pools, volleyball, tennis, golf, basketball, pétanque, and shuffleboard. In winter, guests can enjoy downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, and hiking—right on the property. The hotel also features nearly 12,000 square feet of meeting space, spread across 11 rooms that can accommodate up to 400 guests or 30 exhibition booths!
Work Location
This is a 100% on-site position at Hôtel Mont Gabriel, 1699 Ch. du Mont Gabriel, Sainte-Adèle (Québec) J8B 1A5.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Controller, your role will be to coordinate, support, and carry out various accounting activities while also managing and following up on human resources files in accordance with the procedures established by Tidan’s regional HR department.
Key Duties
Accounting
- Coordinate and support the work of accounting technicians.
- Assist in processing accounts payable and receivable.
- Verify, manage, produce, and follow up on payroll processing.
- Participate in bank reconciliation preparations.
- Contribute to account and financial report analysis, validate and prepare justifications.
- Actively participate in any other financial-related tasks, whether one-time or recurring.
Human Resources
- Collaborate with department managers in the staffing process: preparing internal postings as per the collective agreement, screening applications, coordinating interviews, hiring, onboarding, and follow-ups.
- Ensure the maintenance and follow-up of employee records.
- Plan and oversee various activities related to performance evaluations, training, and employee benefits.
- Support department heads with personnel-related tasks.
- Assist in implementing and enforcing various HR policies and procedures developed by the regional HR department.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- College diploma in accounting, finance, HR, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of significant experience directly related to the role.
- Experience in hospitality and restaurant industries is an asset.
- Strong IT skills and proficiency in Microsoft 365 (especially Excel), POS systems, and standard accounting software.
- Excellent communication skills and customer-oriented approach.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical abilities.
- Autonomy, resourcefulness, and sense of responsibility.
- Highly adaptable with a broad range of interests.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, solve problems, and meet deadlines.
