Reporting to the Director of Sales and Marketing, as a member of the Sales and Marketing team, the Manager is responsible for maximizing revenue generated from the group segment. The individual will be responsible for handling group requests of 50 rooms or more from the corporate market outside of Quebec. They will work closely with other managers to maximize sales and coordinate with the Convention and Meeting Services Managers.
Job Description:
- Develop and maintain business relationships and key partnerships to increase rates, volume, and company revenue.
- Negotiate group rates.
- Develop and generate group contracts.
- Follow up on proposals and contracts.
- Strategically structure pricing for each category segment.
- Understand the overall market and economic trends.
- Work in collaboration with Marriott International (GSO) as well as business partners.
- Participate in industry activities both inside and outside the hotel.
