Reporting to the Food and Beverage Supervisor, the waiter.tress is responsible for providing quality service to customers in a dining establishment. You will be the main interface between customers and the kitchen, ensuring they have a pleasant and satisfying experience. Here are the main tasks associated with this position:
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Take orders accurately and provide recommendations if necessary.
- Serve dishes and beverages efficiently and elegantly.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing their needs and resolving any issues.
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, utensils, and the dining area.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure the speed and accuracy of orders.
- Handle payments and transactions accurately.
- Familiarity with the menu, specials, and modifications to dishes.
- Adherence to hygiene and food safety standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Have interpersonal relationship skills.
- Possess an innate sense of customer service.
- Provide superior service in accordance with our standards.
- Have a perfect knowledge of the menu.
- Possess in-depth knowledge of the wine list and classic cocktails.
- Exhibit exemplary professional attitudes and behaviors, such as high autonomy, excellent stress management, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a team.
- Have at least one (1) season of experience on a high-capacity terrace or three (3) years in a high-capacity restaurant.
- Have in-depth knowledge of sommellerie and a good command of mixology.
- Follow hygiene and safety procedures related to food service.
- Be familiar with billing software such as Micros, which is an asset.
- Be bilingual in French and English, as we serve an international clientele.
- Knowledge of plate service.
- Experience in high-volume and high-traffic restaurants.
- Provide references from high-traffic terraces and/or restaurants.
- Availability to work during the day or evening.
Languages: Bilingualism (French and English) in both spoken and written form is required for this position, as we serve an international clientele.
